Recognise the symptom
Does your A/C keep losing refrigerant?
If refrigerant loss has been identified, the source needs investigation.
- You have been told the refrigerant charge is low
- Cooling fades again after recharge
What could be behind it?
Possible causes.
Possible next steps.
These are examples to help explain the symptom. More than one fault can cause similar behaviour.
Seals or hose connections
Affected seals, connections or hoses may need repair.
A leaking component
A confirmed condenser, evaporator or compressor leak may require component replacement.
Service-port leak
A valve or sealing issue may need correcting.
Inspection confirms what your vehicle needs.
This information is general guidance, not a diagnosis or repair quote. All A/C concerns are subject to inspection and diagnosis. The required work and price can only be confirmed after assessment; none of the repairs listed above is guaranteed to be needed.
A regas does not repair a leak. If a leak is found, we discuss the required repair before recharging the system.
