Recognise the symptom
Does your A/C keep needing a regas?
Cooling improves after a recharge, then fades again.
- A regas only restores cooling temporarily
- You have had refrigerant added more than once
What could be behind it?
Possible causes.
Possible next steps.
These are examples to help explain the symptom. More than one fault can cause similar behaviour.
Refrigerant leak
Seals, hoses or leaking components may need repair or replacement.
A leak that is difficult to locate
Further targeted leak testing may be needed before repair can be recommended.
Another cooling fault
Electrical, airflow or compressor faults may explain symptoms being mistaken for low refrigerant.
Inspection confirms what your vehicle needs.
This information is general guidance, not a diagnosis or repair quote. All A/C concerns are subject to inspection and diagnosis. The required work and price can only be confirmed after assessment; none of the repairs listed above is guaranteed to be needed.
A regas does not repair a leak. If a leak is found, we discuss the required repair before recharging the system.
