Car Alternator Supply and Fit Brisbane, QLD
Your engine runs on air, fuel and a spark. The spark is the driving force for all vehicles otherwise your engine won’t turn over and for that spark we need electricity. Every vehicle has a battery that supplies electricity throughout, but unfortunately only enough to get you a few kms down the road.
To continuously keep the engine turning over you need more juice and that’s where the alternator comes in. With anything wear and tear becomes more apparent overtime with the alternator eventually becoming worn leading to car alternator repair, replacement or reconditioning.
How Does the Alternator Work ?
The alternator continually charges the battery so that we never have to worry about that whole “running out of juice” problem. Your battery is 12 volts, but to keep the battery 100% charged and run all of your car’s electrics at the same time, the alternator has an output of between 13.5 and 14.8 volts.
Essentially, the alternator provides a current to recharge your battery when the motor is running. So, if your battery is flat after you have been driving simply replacing the battery will only get you a little further before it is flat again, it could be an issue with your alternator and your battery just needs recharging and the alternator replaced.
It sends power to essential parts of your vehicle like the headlights, the engine fan, ignition coils and various parts of the fuel injection system.
